Welcome to Kings Heath Choirs! 

Discover and develop your own voice whilst singing together with others, exploring new sounds and expressions and the joy of choral music in one of our two choirs:

If you enjoy singing pop, musical theatre and lighter choral classics, our Youth Choir is the place for you. We will explore a variety of genres, develop our harmony singing and choral skills, and work on how to enhance our singing when performing together. This is for singers aged 13-18 regardless of previous experience. You simply need to want to sing! 

Our Chamber Choir is open to more experienced singers, aged 15 and above (including adults). We will focus on new and timeless choral music by both well established and lesser known composers through the ages. This is a great place to discover the magic of more complex harmonies and to develop your choral awareness that one step further. 

Our artistic director, Linnea Markgren, has many years experience of conducting choirs and teaching singing. She is currently based in Kings Heath and works as a choral conductor, singing teacher and performer across the Midlands. She is supported by local pianist Sara Wilander, an expert in guiding and supporting singers, choirs and instrumentalists with her nuanced accompaniments. 

Both choirs rehearse term time on Monday nights at All Saint's Centre, B14 7RA. The Youth Choir meet between 6.20-7.30pm and the Chamber choir between 7.50-9pm.  All music is provided and included in the termly fee: 13-18yo: £20/term, Adults: £30/term. 

To register, please follow the links below. Once signed up, adults will receive a welcome email to confirm their place. For anyone under 18, their parent or guardian will be sent a permission form that will need to be returned before the registration is complete.
